Óscar Haro recently engaged in a captivating discussion on Paddock TV, addressing various facets of the MotoGP championship. Haro, always abreast of the latest happenings in the championship, seized the opportunity to share his insights, especially as the season has crossed its halfway mark.

A significant topic of discussion revolved around the future of Marc Márquez. Haro believes that Japan might be the nation where all speculations will be put to rest. He mentioned, “I think Marc Márquez is awaiting a meeting with Honda. After the Misano test, he was quite upset. They introduced a new aerodynamic feature, but with the 2023 engine. I feel it’s a 50/50 situation,” Haro shared, hinting at the uncertainty surrounding Márquez’s future.

Haro also touched upon what he termed as the “third option” for Márquez. He suggested that while Dorna hasn’t provided KTM with two additional bikes, it would be a strategic move for Gresini, already a part of MotoGP, to join forces with KTM, backed by Marc and official sponsors Red Bull and Allianz.

The championship’s current state was another hot topic. With Jorge Martín tightening the competition, the championship promises excitement throughout the Asian tour. Haro commented on Pecco Bagnaia’s challenges since Barcelona, especially concerning tire pressures. He believes Bagnaia is not entirely satisfied with the current pressure limits.

Haro concluded by praising Bagnaia’s skills, stating, “For me, Pecco is the number one this year in the championship. When everything aligns for him, his riding style is intimidating. However, winning a championship is not just about being the strongest on the track but also mentally. While Bagnaia and Ducati deserve all the credit, he isn’t a Marc Márquez or a Valentino Rossi. He’s incredibly strong but doesn’t create an astonishing difference.”
