Indian electric bike manufacturer Ultraviolette is known for challenging the rules when it comes to electric mobility in India. Rather than focusing purely on functionality and utility, the brand is committed to preserving the look and feel of a traditional e-motorcycle, giving it impressive performance and style.

Despite being a relatively new player on the electric vehicle scene, the brand’s F77 electric bike has already made it into the record books. One of its first customers, Baala Manikandan, decided to go on a long journey aboard his Ultraviolette F77. Covering a distance of 6,727 km, Manikandan traveled through 14 states, starting his journey in Chennai and ending in Bengaluru. He managed to complete the journey in just 22 days, which means that his average daily distance was equivalent to 305 kilometers.

After his epic journey, Manidkandan and the Ultraviolette entered the Indian Book of Records and the Asian Book of Records as the first electric motorbike in the region to travel such a distance in a short space of time. The journey from Manikandan began on 21 May 2023 and was full of challenges along the way. From uneven terrain to all kinds of weather conditions, the motorbike coped like nobody’s business. According to reports, temperatures reached 45 degrees Celsius (113ºF) and -15 degrees Celsius (5ºF). It completed its journey on 12 June 2023.

According to Manikandan, it was Combat mode that he used most often on his trip, and it was the middle mode in terms of performance. For reference, the bike has three power modes: Glide, Combat and Ballistic. According to Ultraviolette, Manikandan managed to save approximately 270 litres of fuel during his trip.

The Ultraviolette F77 is one of India’s latest electric motorbikes and boasts an impressive array of technologies. It has a top speed of 152 km/h due to a powerful mid-mounted electric motor. According to the company, it provides a real-world range of 307 kilometers on a single charge. Even more impressive is the fact that Ultraviolette offers an eight-year guarantee for the motorbike.
