Ai Ogura will remain linked with Honda in the upcoming Moto2 World Championship season, despite moving to the MT Helmets-MSi team. He will continue to have official sponsorship from the Honda Racing Corporation.
The announcement came on the eve of the Japanese GP. The 22-year-old rider has been in the paddock full-time since 2019, making his debut in Moto3 before moving up to Moto2 in 2021. Since then, he has always been part of the Honda Team Asia.
Next year, he will have his first experience with another team. However, he will retain HRC’s support, ensuring that the young talent remains under their wing.
