The Moto3 race in India was nothing short of spectacular. The Buddh circuit witnessed intense competition, with Jaume Masiá emerging as the victor. This win significantly boosts his standing in the overall rankings.

Before the race, several riders were hopeful of clinching the top spot. Jaume Masiá from Honda Leopard Racing, who had secured pole position in wet conditions, was naturally a favorite. However, others like Ayumu Sasaki from Liqui Moly Husqvarna Intact GP and rookie Collin Veijer were also in contention. Diogo Moreira from KTM MT Helmets MSi, who had been relatively quiet this season, showed promise during the free practice sessions. In contrast, championship leader Daniel Holgado from Red Bull KTM Tech3, who had been struggling in recent races, failed to qualify for Q2.

As the race commenced, Jaume Masiá took an excellent start, closely followed by Ayumu Sasaki. Surprisingly, Sasaki couldn’t overtake Masiá despite the long straight stretch. Moreira secured the third spot, while Holgado managed to climb a few positions.

A significant incident occurred when Joel Keslo from CFMoto Racing Prüstel GP suffered a massive highside, causing the riders behind to evade him. Masiá tried to pull away, with only Sasaki managing to keep up with his pace. If the race had ended with Holgado in the 10th position, Sasaki would have taken the championship lead.

However, as the race progressed, Masiá managed to maintain a half-second lead over Sasaki, preventing the latter from taking advantage of the slipstream. The victory seemed to be a two-horse race between Masiá and Sasaki. Still, Sasaki began losing ground in the final laps, allowing Collin Veijer and Kaito Toba to challenge him for the second spot.

In the end, Kaito Toba secured the second position after a collision between Veijer and Sasaki, with Sasaki finishing third. This last-minute shuffle allowed Daniel Holgado to finish fourth, tying him with Jaume Masiá in the overall standings. The season finale promises to be thrilling, especially with Ayumu Sasaki trailing the leaders by just one point.
