In the first session, Matteo Ferrari (Felo Gresini) took the lead on his first flying lap and improved twice to secure the fastest time. Spinelli (HP Pons Los40) came closest, trailing by just 50 thousandths of a second, followed by Kevin Manfredi (Ongetta SIC58 Squadra Corse). Mattia Casadei (HP Pons Los40), the championship leader, had a quiet session, finishing seventh.

Casadei was the first leader in P2 but was later overtaken by Spinelli when he set a new lap record in the category at Misano. Ferrari managed to move ahead of Casadei to take second place, just 0.058s behind Spinelli. Alessandro Zaccone (Tech3 E-racing) and Héctor Garzó (Dynavolt Intact GP) completed the top five. Jordi Torres (Openbank Aspar), second in the championship standings, finished tenth in P2 and in the combined standings, missing out on direct qualification to Q2.
