The Thruxton was and is a bike that goes beyond being a motorcycle to excel in the role of defining a style, a fetish. Here we could actually use that term which today is so inflated that it has lost its meaning, namely icon. Personally, I prefer to say that the Thruxton is a diva and, like any diva, it’s preparing for its last big appearance before retiring. So let’s keep calm, because the Triumph Thruxton is still here and is ready to celebrate its exit from the scene in an elegant and refined way, with an exclusive version destined to be a collector’s item in the future and now something to enjoy on the road. High performance and timeless appeal have always been the seductive weapons of the British café racer.

The FE was developed on the technical basis of the current RS, so it is the sportiest of the Thruxtons, with a complete set of equipment that is the result of years and years of development and continuous updates. What immediately catches the eye is the finish – which Triumph does not hesitate to describe as impeccable – in the exclusive Competition Green paint, the green that has always characterized British racing bikes. The golden threads are handmade and each bike bears the author’s signature.

What’s more, with each FE comes a certificate of authenticity bearing the bike’s unique frame number and signed by members of the Thruxton 1200 design team and Triumph Motorcycles CEO Nick Bloor. An exclusive Final Edition engine badge with a gold frame and the “Final Edition” logo will also be supplied with each bike.

Here are some of the highlights of the Final Edition:

– 1200 cc Bonneville High Power (HP) engine: the most powerful version of the classic British twin-cylinder. Euro 5 compliant and capable of producing 105 hp and 112 Nm of torque.

– Fully adjustable Showa USD “Big Piston” forks derived from the sports version and Öhlins piggy-back rear double shock absorbers

– 17-inch 32-spoke aluminum wheels fitted with Metzeler Racetec RR tires
