The Husqvarna Norden 901 is the Swedish brand’s flagship model and, for 2024, it has received a series of updates, including colors and electronics.

There’s no doubt that Husqvarna’s position in the Pierer Mobility Group structure is that of a “retro” brand. KTM has overly aggressive styling and the 180 hp 1290 series, while GasGas has a more enthusiastic and youthful approach to the world of motorcycling. Husqvarna, on the other hand, has a more reserved and sensible image.

Its sensibility is perhaps highlighted by the Norden 901, a softer-looking adaptation of the KTM 890 Adventure that this year features a number of significant updates.

You won’t find a new engine, a revolutionary new traction control system or the debut of WP’s new suspension technology on the ’24 Norden 901, but the surface changes are suggested by the new grey and yellow color scheme.

Normally, a change in exhaust design for a new model would indicate an increase of 2.5 hp over the previous year and a saving of 0.55 kg in the bike’s total weight. For the new Norden, however, it means compliance with the Euro5+ standard, which helps guarantee the longevity of the 2024 version compared to its predecessors.

The new hazard warning lights that accompany the bike in 2024 help increase rider safety in the event of an emergency, and the traction control now includes the option of an “Explorer Mode”, which gives access to 10 different levels of rear wheel grip.

Traction control is also present in braking, of course, with Bosch providing Cornering ABS, while Pirelli’s Scorpion Rally STR tires are fitted at both ends. Other features include a Power Assist Slipper Clutch (PASC), four riding modes, ride-by-wire throttle and a bidirectional gear lever.

The 2024 Husqvarna Norden 901 will go on sale from February 2024, according to Visordown.
