The crash occurred in the early laps of the race at turn ten in Mandalika. It was a highside that sent the BOE Motorsports rider into the air, followed by a hard impact on the asphalt, resulting in fractures to one of her legs.

Carrasco provided an update on her health through the team’s social media channels: ‘First of all, I want to say that I feel good. I had a good start and I was feeling good, I had the pace to move forward although I had a scare at the front. At turn 10 I had a crash, the front of the bike closed and then I did a pretty nasty highside. At the moment it looks like I have a fracture in my tibia and fibula but we still have to confirm the severity, as well as a strong blow to my head, but I feel fine’.
