A Chinese company has produced a very close-to-style version of the Ducati SuperSport 950 S, equipped with a twin-cylinder engine.

Cheap Chinese copies of anything are not a new concept, and motorcycles are no exception. Even so, the example we’re bringing you today is remarkable for its uncanny resemblance to another European model.

Welcome to the Ducasu DK400. Even without seeing the photos, you could already tell by the name which manufacturer was being victimized.

Yes, it’s a “fake” Ducati, which looks a lot like the 2017-2021 version of the Ducati SuperSport 950. It’s not a reproduction, but it’s clear that some work has gone into replicating the Italian model. What makes it even more glaring is the brand name and logo, which looks all too similar to the famous Ducati emblem.

We also particularly like the fact that, in one of the images, the side stand is resting on a pair of books and there seems to be someone kneeling to hold the bike on the other side…

The brand is one of the few owned by the Shanghai Jianshe Motorcycle Technology Company Limited, which has been around since the mid-1990s, although the Ducasu seems to be a more recent addition to its roster.

The Ducasu makes do with a 400 cc twin-cylinder engine that develops around 25 hp, less than a quarter of the power of the SuperSport with its 937 cc engine.

It’s also worth noting that Ducati has an official presence in China, so if you live in China, you can easily buy the real Ducasu.
