Loris Veneman and Jeffrey Buis were the winners of the World Supersport 300 races at Aragon, with Buis leaving this round in a good position to become the champion: he has a 30-point lead in the championship standings with only the Portimão round remaining.

In the first race on Saturday, Dirk Geiger (Freudenberg KTM Paligo Racing) was leading when the race was red-flagged on the third lap. The stoppage was caused by an incident involving Lennox Lehmann (Freudenberg KTM Paligo Racing) and Antonio Torres Domínguez (Deza-Box 77 Racing Team/Kawasaki). Lehmann went to the hospital with a fractured right femur.

The race resumed for five laps, and Geiger took the lead. The German rider held the position until he crashed on the turn nine on lap four. The battle for the win had a large group until the end, with Veneman beating his MTM Kawasaki teammate Buis by 0.033s. Daniel Mogeda (Kawasaki GP Project) completed the podium just 0.049s behind, in a thrilling finish. The top six finishers were separated by less than one second.

The second race on Sunday hadn’t red flags, but brought more excitement with an intense battle for the win. Buis led in the early laps but secured the lead definitively only on the final lap. He crossed the finish line 21 thousandths of a second ahead of Matteo Vannucci (AG Motorsport Italia Yamaha), with Marco Gaggi (Team BrCorse/Yamaha) completing the podium, 0.097s behind the winner. Veneman was leading at the start of the final lap but finished the race in sixth place.
