Fabio Di Giannantonio is not going to continue with Gresini in MotoGP in 2024 but doesn’t intend to leave the paddock. Currently, there is only one officially open seat at Repsol Honda, but depending on the choice of the Japanese team, another option may become available.

The Italian rider made it clear he wants to continue in the premier class: ‘For sure the goal is to stay. I feel that I am a MotoGP rider. I’m proving to myself and I think to everybody that I’m fast enough to stay here on this grid. At the moment it seems we have some chances. My crew is doing a good job also at home. So, we will see how it will evolve in the next races. My focus is 100% on track’.

Asked which doors could be open for him in 2024, Di Giannantonio replied: ‘Well, at the moment seemms Honda is the seat. So, for sure my goal is to stay and if there is a seat at Repsol Honda why not to take it? But in this part you never know. It seems there are more possibilities and when it will be more clear we will try to understand which matches better with my style and my project for the future’.
