It was an absolute display of dominance by Pedro Acosta in the San Marino GP race in Moto2. The championship leader took the lead from the start and rarely allowed his rivals to challenge him, doing a good race management.

With a strong start, Acosta (Red Bull KTM Ajo/Kalex) took the lead of the race, with Celestino Vietti (Fantic Racing/Kalex) in second and Arón Canet (Pons Wegow Los40/Kalex) in third.

Despite running in third place, Canet not only managed to match the pace of the top two but was sometimes slightly faster. However, when Acosta had already created a gap to his opponents, Canet suffered a crash at Turn 14 that took him out of contention on the 15th lap.

From then on, Alonso López (+Ego SpeedUp/Boscoscuro) became the third-placed rider, but he was far behind Acosta and Vietti. The Italian managed to put pressure on the leader at a certain point in the race and forced him into an error, but Acosta recovered well and dominated the final stages of the race.

Throughout the race, Acosta never relinquished his lead and won with a clear margin of 6.305s. Vietti comfortably secured second place, achieving his second podium of the year. López finished third, returning to the top three for the first time since the French GP. Tony Arbolino (Elf Marc VDS/Kalex) made a strong recovery to fourth, with Ai Ogura (Idemitsu Honda Team Asia/Kalex) rounding out the top five.
